Duct Tape & Sewing Kits

SO, we all know that duct tape can fix ANYTHING, right? Well, I just wanted to let you know the things we used it for in Liberia:

fixing Hawa's slippers (flip-flops)
fixing our cup for our cup showers
fixing our busted bag
sealing the plastic bin so that Matilda couldn't get to our peanut butter
fixing Hawa's slippers again
fixing Anika's slippers
hanging our reminder to take our malaria meds
hanging Anika's birthday cards on the walls
trying to thwart some warts on Anika's foot
fixing our mosquito net when it ripped
making an envelope to hold some seeds
(We should have used it to fix the toilet seats that either kept sliding off or breaking... wish I would have thought of that!)

We also used our handy-dandy sewing kit:

fixing Asher's sandals (pair number one)
trying to fix pair number two of Asher's sandals - no luck
(didn't even try to fix the slippers (flip-flops) that broke right away)
fixing Asher's shorts which ripped open in the back

... do you see an emerging pattern here? Asher, Asher , Asher...
